The E-A-SKI B-50 Microphone Preamplifier with EQ is a result of a collaboration between Mr. Hilbe of T.H.E. Company and Mr. E-A-SKI. The E-A-SKI B-50 is a discrete, 500-series, dual space mono device tailored for line-level hi-Z electronic instrument input types, with select EQ points, as well as microphone capturing.

The Mo5 Mic Preamp is unique in employing the classic Metropolitan Desk design built in-house by Motown circa 1965, brokered and restored by T.H.E. Company in 2008.
In the desk restoration process for Uptone Recorders, Tacoma Washington, the Mic Preamp design was design re-configured for 500-rack series production utilizing sourced N.O.S. Beyer input transformers, N.O.S. 709 op-amps, and vew stock Jensen JT123 output transformers. This is a “no frills” get down to the basics mic preamp.
